Toca Boca World

During five years (plus internship and some freelancing) I contributed to the evergreen world of Toca Life World (now Toca Boca World). The amount of content I have created is too much to publish here, so I have selected some of my best stuff to show below. The areas of illustration covers characters, pets, items, gifts, clothes, food and locations that are live in the game.

On top of illustrating, I also had the responsibility of all the in-game animation. That mainly meant creating in-game TV videos, doors, growing crops, etc. After a couple of years I also started making the particle animation systems in Unity.

As head of animation, I directed and communicated with designers, artists and programmers; wrote and designed documentation; feedbacked and prepared work files; and—of course—animated and exported. During the times we hired freelancing animators I led and feedbacked them.

Fun trivia: I’m portrayed as a character in the app and still frequently used in in-house communication 🥸
